Clickfunnels Affiliate Bootcamp Review – Day 6 of 100 – FB Audience Targeting

Facebook rejected my ad for Clickfunnels on Day 5!

It says “This ad can’t promote deceptive, misleading, unclear, vague or inaccurate employment opportunities.”

Also, “This ad isn’t running because it doesn’t follow our Advertising Policies. We don’t allow ads that promote unclear, misleading, “work from home”, MLM, get rich quick or deceptive employment opportunities.”

I have to change something, but in the interest of time, let’s move on to Day 6.

Today’s training is on audience targeting.

Let’s do it.

  1. Go to https://www.facebook.com/adsmanager
  2. Select Audience Insights.
  3. Choose Everyone on Facebook.
  4. Under Interests, enter ‘russell brunson”.
  5. Notice the demographics interested in Russell Brunson.

  6. Go to the Page Likes tab and look for other Public Figures in the same interest.
  7. Add in some other public figures or products (if available).
  8. Add interests, like Business > Online > Digital Marketing.
  9. Refine language to English.
  10. Remove Digital Marketing and use Online Advertising instead, because we get more related interests.
  11. The idea is to reduce your audience but keep it above 500,000 (it will cost more if targeting is too small).
  12. Go back to https://www.facebook.com/adsmanager to create an Ad.
  13. Go to the Audience section.
  14. Make Selection based on the data from the Audience Insights above – country the United States, age 25 to 50,
  15. Under detailed targeting, enter the public figure name and the variations.
  16. Click on Narrow Further and select other interests like Online Advertising, email marketing, SEO, etc.
  17. Click on Narrow Further and Add one more interest related to the software of similar online marketing nature, like Aweber, Mailchimp, Infusionsoft, etc.
  18. Click on Exclude People and Enter “Russell Brunson”, because the market there would be too saturated already
  19. Under Placement, select Mobile newsfeed, desktop newsfeed, and Instagram. Check “Only when connected to WiFi”.
  20. Under the budget, choose any amount.
  21. Finally, Place Your Ad.

Ok. This training is more detailed than Day 5 training, but also a little different in the information presented. There are no fixed rules. Must experiment and experiment.

So, that’s my homework.

I created a landing page to the Dot Com Secrets Free Book offer at my own website using  https://adrianvideoimage.com/dotcomsecrets/ using a WordPress plugin called Landing Page Builder Free Version.

Notice there is no opt-in box? That means no funnel. I just want to learn FB Ads fast, so skipped the opt-in box step. the red button clicks directly to the affiliate product page.

I will put the funnel in later.

Next, I created the FB Ad and it got approved this time.

I set the Audience to the United States, Age 25 to 50, All gender, Language English (All), Interests include online marketing, Frank Kern, Digital Marketing, Aweber, Hubspot, Infusionsoft, and finally excludes Russell Brunson.

Placement on Feed for mobile and desktop only with “Only when connected to Wifi checked”.

Daily Budget is set to S$10.

See my next post for the results.

See you in the next one.
