7 Things about the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ Video Camera

Here are 7 essential things you need to know about the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 video camera.

I just tested the new Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ video camera and here are 7 essential things you need to know.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10 launch at Plaza Singapura

Pre-order your Samsung Galaxy Note 10

1. Note 10 does not have a micro SD card slot while the Note 10+ has. The ability to put in a memory card from an external camera is important for me. So better get the 10+.

2. Live focus is now available for video too. That means I can shoot an interview video and blur the background just like using a big camera.

3. The 3 rear cameras are similar to my Samsung Galaxy S10. Tele, standard and wide, except I noticed a little focusing issue during the test. There is a fourth rear camera on the Note 10+ for depth sensing.

4. Note 10 is nearly the same size as my S10. The Note 10+ is slightly larger by approximately a mere 1cm.

5. The differentiating feature is the pen. We can use the pen as the camera remote control for recording, zooming and remote swiping.

6. The Pro camera mode still doesn’t have a video recording mode. That’s an utter disappointment which is slightly compensated with the next point.

7. The video camera mode has the AE/AF lock function. The exposure and focus lock function is sorely missing in the S10 video camera.

Cool. At nearly S$1600 for a 12gb/256gb model, it’s a little pricey.

Is it the best smartphone video camera? By far definitely a gigantic YESSSSS!!!

I have been using my S10 to shoot AND EDIT my Youtube videos and nobody is complaining.

On the S10, I shoot mostly with the native camera, many times with the Open Camera app for the manual FEW controls, and edit with Adobe Premiere Rush.

Will I buy the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+? For the video camera, Sure… after I sort out the finance part.

What do you think?
