Macbook Pro Bootup Stuck on Apple Logo after Installing Samsung DeX Solved

I was about to use my Macbook Pro to file my income tax when I regretfully decided to install Samsung DeX.

I installed Samsung DeX so I can connect my Samsung Galaxy S10 to the big screen.

After installation, I had to reset the Mac and that’s when it happened.

The bootup stopped at the Apple logo…

I tried every method I can google. I asked my friends on Facebook. Nothing worked. Then i tried my own method and it worked!

Here’s how…

1. Press and hold the power key to turn the Mac Off.
2. Press and hold Command + R + power keys together.
3. When the Chime sounds, let go of the power button.
4. When the Apple logo and loading bar appears, let go of the Command and R keys.
5. Wait for the macOS Utilities to appear.
6. Click on the small Apple logo in the top left-hand corner.
7. Select Startup Disk.
8. Click the Restart button.

I am so thankful the SSD storage is still intact. Everything is back to normal.
