Clickfunnels Affiliate Bootcamp Review – 5 of 100 Day Challenge – Creating FB Ads

“Today we start traffic!”

That’s the exciting title of Day Five’s lesson.

Yesterday, I learned how to hack (get) traffic fast.

It’s an eye-opening valuable lesson, but not so practical for a Newbie.

So I hope today I will learn something I can use at my beginner level.

Let get started… here are my notes…

  • The primary method here to get traffic onto my funnel is to pay for Facebook Ads.
  • Understand the Facebook Ads Manager structure.
  • Go to https://www.facebook.com/business and click on Create Ad.
  • Three levels of structure: Campaigns, Ad Set, Ad.
  • Among the many Objective options under Campaigns Auction, we will focus on sending people to your website, increasing conversions on your website, and getting video views (that’s my thing!).
  • Ad Set controls 3 things: Audience, Placements, and Budget & Schedule.
  • Under Audience, choose location United States, age 18 to 65+, gender All, Choose Detailed Targeting: Interests > Business and Industry > Entrepreneurship
  • Under Placements, choose mobile news feed (*), Instagram, desktop news feed (*), desktop right column. Check the box for Only devices connected to WiFi. (*most effective)
  • Under Budget & Schedule, choose Daily Budget, $20 to $40 for new ads, Run my ad set continuously starting today, Link Clicks, Automatic Bidding, Ad Set Name.
  • Under the Ad section, there is Format, Media, and Page & Likes. Choose Single Image, Upload Image, Connect Facebook Page (must create a Facebook Page – Public Figure / Entrepreneur), Instagram Account, Destination Website URL (your affiliate link), Headline, Text, Call to Action, No need View Tags, News Feed Link Description, and Place Order.
  • Create one Ad Set for internet marketing gurus. Eg. Frank Kern, Ryan Deiss, Mike Filsaime, Parry Belcher, Andy Jenkins, and more.
  • Create another Ad set for owners of small businesses.
  • Create another Ad Set for the retargeting list.
  • Find images that look less contrived.
  • Keep cost per click under $1.

Oh super exciting! Homework is to create an ad.

Homework: Creating a Facebook Ad

  1. Go to https://www.facebook.com/business and click on Create Ad.
  2. Click on Get More Website Visitors.
  3. Click on Promote Your Website.
  4. Sidetrack: Oh, wait! Clickfunnels just announced a new “One Funnel Away Challenge” offer. Let me go create a funnel for that one and I will come back here to continue setting up my facebook ad.
  5. Sidetrack update: Done. Didn’t create a funnel. Just a direct affiliate link to the product. Check out the post.
  6. Ok right now, the website page I want the ad to send traffic to stands at 9 visitors and 0 buyers.
  7. The ad is created. I had to change the image to a free stock image from Facebook because the given one from the sales page has too much text.
  8. Side note: The affiliate training could be dated because the interface is different. And I should be going here (https://www.facebook.com/adsmanager) to create the ads, as I have learned from other Fb Ads courses.
  9. It’s in review now. I will check back tomorrow with the stats.
  10. 1 hour later. Ad not approved.

It says “This ad can’t promote deceptive, misleading, unclear, vague or inaccurate employment opportunities.”

Back to the drawing board.
