Adrian’s Short Video Creation Thought Process Checklist

1. How do I decide what to create?

  • I will choose one of these types of content based on my goals and audience interests:
    • Flagship content on Capcut Editing to get more followers.
    • Product Reviews to monetize my channel.
    • Vlog for an event, travel, or lifestyle to document my life.
    • Trends to tap the latest wave of traffic.
    • Answer a viewer’s question to engage the community.

2. How do I write the script?

  • I will follow these steps to write a script for my video:
    • First, I will decide if I need a script or not.
    • Research popular SEO search terms for the topic. Use Google Search suggestions.
    • Use Bing Chat AI to write the entire script with this prompt: “Write a short one-minute video script about [topic]”
    • Copy and paste the script on a blog post publicly to let Google Search pick it up even before making the video.
    • Modify the script to make it sensible if not otherwise.
    • Rewrite the script with this 3-part structure: Opening Hook, 3 Highlights, and Call to Action.

3. How do I shoot the video?

  • I will use these settings and equipment to shoot the video:
    • I use the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra native cameras.
    • I will shoot in 4K 60fps.
    • I will lock focus and increase exposure for stationary shots.
    • Every phrase from my script will be a new scene.
    • For faster production, I will use a mic and speak while recording.
    • For slicker production, I will voice over later after the shoot.
    • I use 3 lights: left, right, and back.
    • I use various tripods depending on how high I want the camera to be.

4. How do I edit the videos?

  • I will use these tools and techniques to edit the videos:
    • I use Capcut Mobile on the same Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra.
    • I do not add music to my videos. I will add sound effects instead.
    • For music, I will choose the platform’s music when posting.
    • I will add text and animated Auto-captions.
    • I also use a filter “Cold Ivory” to enhance the look.
    • Sometimes I use Auto Adjustments to brighten the footage.
    • For my face, I will Smoothen and Brighten up to 60%.
    • I will export the final video in 4K 60fps.

5. How do I upload?

  • I will follow these steps to upload the video to different platforms:
    • If there is no script, I will upload it to YouTube first, then extract the transcription and use it as the script.
    • Create a caption using Bing Chat AI Prompt: “Write a short Tiktok Caption Description from this: [script]”… then “Write an SEO title for this: ”, then “Add emojis and popular hashtags to this:”
    • Go to Tiktok and post the video with the caption and hashtags.
    • Go to Facebook and post the video with the caption and hashtags.
    • Go to Instagram and post the video with the caption and hashtags.
    • Experiment with posting on Pinterest and Lemonade.
    • Go back to Bing Chat AI and prompt: “Write this as a blog post: [script]”
    • Copy and paste the blog post to the blog website and embed the YouTube video.
