Balancing Coffee Cups, Going Live, and Selling on TikTok

Last weekend evening, my family and I were sitting around the living room of our AirBNB apartment in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, when a family member asked me to do some balancing tricks. I’ve always been good at balancing things, so I decided to try balancing some coffee cups.

I started by balancing one cup on top of the rounded handle of a food cover. Then, I balanced a second cup on top of the first cup. My family was amazed, and they started cheering me on.

I decided to go live on my TikTok, tiktok.com/@adrianvideoimage, while I was balancing the cups. I thought it would be a fun way to entertain my followers and show off my balancing skills. I also decided to do some live selling while I was on stream. I was promoting the international power adapter I had brought along for my vacation, and I wanted to see if I could get any sales.

I ended up selling one item, but it wasn’t the power adapter! I was able to sell a different item from my showcase.

Achieving three goals with a single action while on vacation: Balancing Coffee Cups, Going Live, and Selling on TikTok!

5 Tips to Help You Become a Successful TikTok Creator

My experience balancing coffee cups on TikTok taught me a lot about how to create engaging and successful content on the platform. Here are 5 tips that I would recommend to anyone who is looking to grow their TikTok following:

  1. Think outside the box. You don’t have to stick to one type of content on TikTok. You can mix things up and try new things. For example, I was able to combine my balancing skills with live streaming to create a unique and engaging experience for my followers.
  2. Be yourself. People can tell when you’re being genuine, so don’t try to be someone you’re not. Just be yourself and let your personality shine through in your videos.
  3. Listen to your followers. Pay attention to what your followers are saying and respond to their comments. This will help you build a strong relationship with your audience and keep them engaged.
  4. Use live streaming to connect with your followers and promote your products. Live streaming is a great way to interact with your followers and show off your products in real time. It’s also a great way to build excitement and anticipation for new products or services.
  5. Be patient and persistent. It takes time and effort to build a successful TikTok channel. Don’t give up if you don’t see results immediately. Just keep creating great content and interacting with your audience, and eventually you will start to see growth.
