I needed an emergency phone. So I bought the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5.

Emergency?

One of our phones has gone cranky and we can’t live without it. 🤓

We want the huge Xiaomi Mi Max 3, but it is not available yet.

So, from the choices in the store, I chose the Redmi Note 5.

The choice is based on 3 criteria.

1. Must have dual lens main camera

2. Minimum 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM

3. Cost less than S$400

There were 3 contenders with dual lens. The Redmi S2, the Mi Mix 2 and the Redmi Note 5.

Good Camera is important because we want to document our lives. 😎

The Redmi S2 memory is only up to 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM. Shooting and editing video every day require lots of memory.

The Mi Mix 2 is above S$500, though I desire this bezel-less notch-less phone.

Next, I am going to document a Redmi Note 5 camera test review.
