The problem with digital pinch zooming is lower image quality.
The solution is to use an external Telephoto Lens.
Thanks to Sandmarc for sending their Telephoto 6x Lens for me to test.
The Lens came with a zipper bag. Inside is a pouch containing the lens and a cleaning cloth. I also found a filter mount and a carabiner hook.
The lens feels well-made. Solid metal body with real glass.
It also includes an iPhone case of your choice. The case has got screw threads on the standard lens and the telephone lens.
Just remove the lens covers from the front and back. Attach it to the case, making sure it is aligned and secure.
On the tip is a manual focus wheel to ensure my images are sharp.
My zoomed-in videos are now much sharper than my iPhoneβs native telephoto camera digital pinch zoom.
It’s like turning my iPhone into a real mirrorless camera.
When you attach this Sandmarc Telephoto lens to the iPhone Telephoto Camera, you may face a blackout issue. In that case, I will use a third-party app like Blackmagic Cam so that I can control the settings.
I will talk more about the Blackmagic Camera app in another video.

The included filter mount allows the use of SANDMARC Filters to enhance the image. I will talk about the filters in another video.
