HP’s Elite Dragonfly Is the MacBook Air Apple Should Have Made… This is the extremely sleek HP Elite Dragonfly, a $1,549 professional machine made of magnesium alloy that works as a laptop and a tablet with a pressure sensitive pen. You know, everything I wanted the MacBook Air to be — but lighter and tested to military durability standards. – https://www.tomsguide.com/news/hps-elite-dragonfly-is-the-macbook-air-apple-should-have-made

HP Elite Dragonfly is an insanely light 2-in-1 laptop with ‘world’s longest’ battery life… Could we have a new contender for the best laptop of 2019? – https://www.techradar.com/sg/news/hp-elite-dragonfly-is-an-insanely-light-2-in-1-laptop-with-worlds-longest-battery-life

As a mobile professional who does a fair amount of traveling, it’s important that I travel as light as possible. This is especially true during shows like CES or IFA where I’m on the floor at least 10 hours. HP is attempting to lighten the proverbial load with its latest laptop, the Elite Dragonfly. – https://www.laptopmag.com/articles/hp-dragonfly-elite-hands-on

HP’s latest EliteBook, the Elite Dragonfly, doesn’t look like a business laptop. It comes in a shade of deep blue, and its lightweight magnesium build looks and feels more like a premium consumer laptop than something made for the commercial industry. – https://www.theverge.com/2019/9/18/20870754/hp-elite-dragonfly-business-elitebook-laptop

Comparison

Typically, when a laptop manufacturer tries to make an uber-light laptop, they make it out of some chintzy-feeling plastic material like on the Lenovo LaVie Z and the Asus B9 Pro. The Dragonfly is made from CNC magnesium alloy, giving it a premium feel you’d expect from a professional notebook. – https://www.laptopmag.com/articles/hp-dragonfly-elite-hands-on

Using a CNC-machined magnesium alloy chassis, HP is able to get the weight of the Elite Dragonfly under 1kg, a remarkable achievement considering very few laptops – except the likes of the LG Gram – can reach. – https://www.techradar.com/sg/news/hp-elite-dragonfly-is-an-insanely-light-2-in-1-laptop-with-worlds-longest-battery-life

The Elite Dragonfly weighs an impressive 2.2 pounds, which HP labels as the world’s lightest “business” laptop. The fact is that this weight makes it 0.6 pounds lighter than the lightest of the Apple machines and also lighter than its PC rivals, the Dell XPS 13 (which weighs 2.7 pounds) and HP’s own Spectre x360, which like the Air comes at 2.8 pounds… Compare all that technological prowess to the MacBook Air, which is far behind in terms of specs and lasted just under 9 hours on Laptop Mag‘s battery test.  – https://www.tomsguide.com/news/hps-elite-dragonfly-is-the-macbook-air-apple-should-have-made

It felt as light as the Galaxy Book S, although Samsung’s laptop felt more expensive thanks to its metallic finish… However, the Elite Dragonfly packs far more powerful guts than the Galaxy Book S, including an eighth-generation Intel Core vPro processor, up to 2TB of storage and 16GB of RAM… Hidden in the top bezel is a Windows Hello-capable webcam, which is something even the Dell XPS 15 (2019) doesn’t offer. Most other PCs do too, though they don’t have similarly thin bezels. I like that the Dragonfly has a mechanical shutter built in so you can slide it over the webcam for privacy. – https://www.engadget.com/2019/09/18/hp-elite-dragonfly-hands-on-sub-1-kg/
