I’ve always been fascinated by the magic of video editing, and recently, I embarked on a journey to create an endless loop video using Capcut. Here’s how I did it:

Step 1: Recording the Video
The first step was to record myself. I walked over to a table and began wiping it down, even going so far as to wipe my imaginary self! Then, I moved to the other side of the table, placed an object on it, and pretended to be wiped out of existence.
Step 2: Starting a New Project in Capcut
With my recording ready, I opened Capcut and started a new project. I selected the recording and tapped on ‘Add’.
Step 3: Splitting the Clip
I scrolled through the timeline until I reached the point where I was on the other side of the table. Here, I selected the clip and performed a split.
Step 4: Adding an Overlay
Next, I chose ‘overlay’ and dragged this overlay under the first clip. After selecting the overlay, I chose ‘mask’, followed by ‘rectangle mask’.
Step 5: Adjusting the Mask
I adjusted the mask to show both the object and my clone. To smoothen the edge of the mask, I adjusted the feather.
Step 6: Adding Keyframes
I expanded the timeline and scrolled until the cloth touched the object. At this point, I added a keyframe. Then, I scrolled through the timeline until the cloth passed over the object and moved the mask to reveal it.
Step 7: Repeating for Every Wipe
This process was repeated for every wipe. If necessary, I resized the mask.
And that’s it! After these steps, all that was left was to export and play back my endless loop video come to life. If you’re interested in a more detailed tutorial, just let me know by commenting ‘yes’. Happy editing!
