We were wandering around the hidden alleys near our hotel in Seoul, South Korea, when we came across a small, unassuming teahouse. The sign outside said “Shin Old Teahouse,” and we were intrigued. We had never been to a traditional Korean teahouse before, so we decided to give it a try.
The Charming Interior of the Teahouse
The interior of the teahouse was just as charming as the exterior. The walls were decorated with traditional Korean paintings and tapestries, and every corner was Instagram-worthy.
We felt like we had stepped back in time, and we were completely relaxed and at peace.
Our Experience at Shin Old Teahouse
The floor where we sat was covered with soft, fluffy cushions. There were a few tables scattered around the tiny place, each with a low table and seats.
We were early, so we were the only customers at the teahouse at first, and we had the place to ourselves. It was the perfect way to start our day in Seoul.
Soon a friendly Korean woman came over to take our order. We ordered various flavors of tea and some rice cakes. The tea was served in beautiful ceramic cups, and the rice cakes were fluffy and sweet.
We spent the next hour or so sipping our tea and nibbling on our rice cakes. It was the perfect way to start our day in Seoul. The tea was delicious, and the atmosphere was relaxing.
