Do Not Set SMART Goals… Dream Bigger

Setting SMART goal is a methodology designed for a huge million-dollar corporation to manage projects. The SMART goal technique is not for the individual or the small business. The problem lies between Achievable and Realistic.

I read about this fact from…

WHY YOU SHOULD SET HUGE GOALS INSTEAD OF SMART GOALS… https://selfmadeladies.com/dont-set-smart-goals/

… And I felt someone just confirmed what I knew all along.

Set unrealistic goals… Own a Lamborghini… Own a penthouse… Own a private jet… In 90 days.

Huge unrealistic goals keep us motivated to take action. We have to dream big.

Here’s what we need to do to achieve big goals…

  1. Change yourself to become another person.
  2. Have the wild urge to take Massive Action.
  3. Be willing to do whatever it takes to reach your goals.
  4. Create milestones. Set small short-term goals
  5. Identify the biggest obstacles and how to overcome them.
  6. Schedule a plan of daily activities and habits.
  7. Take action… Even if you don’t feel like doing it.
  8. If you fall behind one day, make it up the next day.
  9. Be accountable to yourself.
  10. Visualize your goals.

We don’t know our limits until we do it. That’s where the A and R fail in SMART.
