CNY Eve

It’s Chinese New Year Eve 2018.

What so special about this day?

Sadly, it’s nothing at all to me.

Business and work as usual.

That’s the life of a solopreneur.

There is no salary when you stop.

Yesterday, wife took leave.

She needs to stock up food.

Shops will be closed on CNY.

Guests will be coming over.

She’s not the only one rushing.

The market stores are crowded.

And it’s a normal work weekday!

So while wife shops, “I snap”.

Portrait Mode

Pulled out my $300 Xiaomi Mi A1.

Used the dual lens portrait mode.

Took candid shots along the way.

Nothing fantastic. Can be better.

Just finding beauty in the mess.

It’s a typical wet market in SG.

Wish Mi A1 can auto focus better.

Overnight White

Shocked as I looked in the mirror.

What happened to my black hair?

What activity did I do last night?

Yes. Overthinking was what I did.

It happens when I think too much.

What was I brain-stressing about?

About rekindling internet business.

For now let’s do that early evening.

Nian Gao

Closing sales at the provision shop.

They will be closed for three days.

So I bought a tiny nian gao at $0.80.

I intentionally picked the soft one.

I thought it’s the traditional recipe.

Disappointed. Too much flour in it.

Let’s Work

Published an article on Linkedin.

It’s the 2 questions in videography.

Lunch Dessert

Look at what wifey made for dessert.

Creamy Avocado Shake with honey.

The Pond

The koi pond is scrubbed and ready.

Ready to usher in the CNY of 2018.

CNY Eve Dinner

Wife’s a great cook and food designer.

We had a small family dinner at home.

Enjoyed 2 movies before countdown.

To be continued…
