How to Protect Yourself from the Zika Virus in Singapore

The Ministry of Health (MOH), Singapore is closely monitoring the Zika virus situation, and will be introducing several measures to enhance the surveillance of the disease and the protection of Singaporeans.

Frequently asked questions:

  • What symptoms do we look out for if we think we might have contracted the virus?
  • What treatments are available for the virus?
  • If a woman who is not pregnant is bitten by a mosquito and infected with Zika virus, will her future pregnancies be at risk?

See all FAQ here… https://www.moh.gov.sg/content/moh_web/home/pressRoom/Current_Issues/2016/zika-virus/faqs.html

Singaporeans are encouraged to take the appropriate precautions to prevent mosquito breeding as vector control is critical in preventing transmission and reducing the risk of the virus from taking root in Singapore.
